However I get the following error: 'schupgr.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Adprep was unable to upgrade the schema on the schema master.

Hello everyone, I was able to fix the error I posted, here is the solution I needed to do to be able to fix this. I first needed to run schupgr.exe from Windows 2003 R2 Disc1 CD, the reason is to to upgrade the Schema from version 31 to 47.

Current Schema Version is 31 Upgrading schema to version 47 After I finished this step I downloaded the Windows 2008 R2 Server and under the sources folder I ran the adprep32 /forestprep and that did the trick. I will allow the domain to replicate now and I will see if I can make the Windows 2008 R2 server a domain controller. Does any one know if I need to run adprep32.exe /domainprep before adding 2008 DC? Thank you for all the help so far.
