These are perfect for men/women who need a shoe with a wider toe box. This is the first time I have worn Gola, having worn,, and many others in the past.

I put about 8 pairs of of varying in my 'Favorites' list on Zappos before I chose the Varsity. What sold me on these was the shape and width of the toe box. It was clear from the the product photos' overhead view that the toe box was wider (hence, more likely to fit well on me) than most of the others with the exception of one in this category (). My shoe size for many years in leather dress has been 11.5 D. But as I have gotten older, I have found that I get the best fit and most comfort from either an 11.5 E or a 12 D. Since the Varsity was on sale in a medium (D) width, I ordered size 12. They arrived the other day and as soon as I began wearing them, I found them comfortable.
